----------
We became homeschoolers suddenly. One morning our oldest son, a freshman in an award-winning suburban high school, called home right before the first class of the day. The teen who’d been harassing him had just showed him a gun, telling him he wouldn’t live through the school day. I was home, babysitting an infant. Without the baby’s car seat I couldn’t even drive there to get him. “Get out now,” I said. “Run home.”----------
I would love to know if the recent school shooting prompts a lot more parents to pull their children from government schools.
